In a charming bungalow festooned with Thai embellishments, Royal Thai has been a go-to spot in South Tampa for tom yum chicken, pad Thai and aptly named Lobster Delight since 1999. Before that, the Damrong family had a Thai restaurant in Dunedin for six year, making them elder statesmen among Tampa Bay's restaurateurs. Much of the food straddles the space between Thai and Chinese cuisines, rendering the offerings approachable even for the slightly timid palate. Heat levels are moderate and garniture is lovely.
