A regular fixture in the Seminole Heights section of Tampa, the bus has been a late-night or lunchtime destination since the late 90s. Current owner Rene Valenzuela came to the United States about 16 years ago, and sold his homemade Mexican food from a trailer that he pulled behind his pickup truck. He bought Taco Bus from a cousin in 2006.

Favorite Taco Bus dishes include the butternut squash tostada, chilorio (pulled pork in ancho pepper sauce), shrimp and cilantro tacos, and rajas con queso (strips of roasted poblano pepper with cheese, salsa and corn).

And one of its biggest draws is its 24-7 operation, meaning late shift workers can get their fix of authentic Mexican anytime of the day or night.
