At this thoroughbred track, guests can watch the races from luxury box suites or casual outdoor seating.
Tampa Bay Downs opened its door in 1926 and prides itself on being the only thoroughbred race track on the west coast of Florida. It is one of America's oldest and most well-maintained racetracks. The track also offers a golf practice facility that allows patrons to practice their swing while viewing and wagering on simulcast racing. It also has a poker room. Both are open seven days a week. Outside, there’s a children’s play area.
Racing runs from late December to around the beginning of May.
Gates open at 11 a.m. and post time for the first race is 12:25 p.m., unless otherwise noted. The fee for grandstand admission is free on weekday racing and $2 for weekend racing; clubhouse admission is $3; general and preferred parking is free every day; and valet parking is $5.
