This museum, once the headquarters for Tampa’s firefighting department, now serves as a popular destination for weddings, cocktails parties, bar/bat mitzvahs and many other social events. The floors each hold between 150 and 300 guests. Smoking is not permitted at the museum.
Established in 1911, the building has seen the evolution of firefighting equipment change from horse-drawn carriages to the high-powered vehicles of modern times. Carefully preserved within the museum are ceiling scars from previous pole locations as well as marks on the red brick walls where equipment once hung. A number of historical portraits decorate the walls.
