What kind of library has a playground outside? We think it's the super smart kind of library. We all know we want our little darlings to enjoy books. But after a while, they just need to shake their sillies out. It's a perfect combination, one that just makes a lot of sense. But this library has so much more to offer. Take the stairs or the elevator to reach the library and you'll find a separate children's space, complete with kid-size seating, desks and computers. There are tables for doing homework, padded benches for parents to share board books with little ones and a little floor space if you and your kids prefer that. There also are bathrooms in the kids room so no need to leave that area. You will have to go to the bathroom in the main library if you want to change your baby though because that's where the changing station is. In the main library, there is a teen room as well with three large-screen computers, comfy chairs and high stools which give it a coffeehouse sort of feel. There are plenty of DVDs, audio books and magazines in both rooms, so kids and teens will have lots to keep them occupied. With more than 120,000 volumes on the shelves, free wireless and 34 computers for the public in the 30,000-square-foot space, there's plenty of room to stretch out. And there are storytimes, plays and computer training courses. Phew, we've done it all. Now, back to the playground.
