The USF Contemporary Art Museum opened its current facility next to the USF College of the Arts in 1989. The museum has presented exhibitions of contemporary art from Florida, the United States and around the world, including Africa, Europe, and Latin America. Changing exhibitions are designed to introduce students, faculty and the community to current cultural trends. On display: Black Pulp examines evolving perspectives of Black identity through rare historical printed media shown in dialogue with contemporary works of art. Woke! features new work from the artists and curators of Black Pulp, William Villalongo and Mark Thomas Gibson. Remain on display through July 22.
USFCAM maintains the university’s art collection, comprised of more than 5,000 art works. There are exceptional holdings in graphics and sculptures by internationally acclaimed artists, such as Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg and James Rosenquist, who have worked at USF’s Graphicstudio. Contemporary photography and African art are also important areas of the collection.

Regular hours: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, 1-4 p.m. Saturday. The museum is closed from Christmas Eve through New Year's Day.
