There are four — count 'em, four — casual Frenchy's locations crowding the Clearwater Beach landscape, each a little different but all fueled by their own fleet of commercial fishing boats. Frenchy's Original Café is the smallest and maybe the quietest. Beyond the annual stone crab madness that occurs each October, Frenchy's supporters come back for the thick seafood gumbo, fish spread, grouper sandwiches and take-no-prisoners desserts (fried Oreos, peanut butter pie).
