Opening night: Dylan McDermott
This four-day showcase of independent films includes dramatic and comedy shorts, documentaries and international films. Actor Dylan McDermott will be on hand to introduce the new web series he directed, Sugar, shot on locations around Sarasota (4:30 p.m.), there's a red carpet and pre-party (6:30) followed by McDermott joining director Michael Mailer to screen Blind, a romantic drama starring Alec Baldwin, Demi Moore and McDermott.
