Nature's Food Patch

Purchase cereal, breakfast bars, oatmeal or shelf-stable milk and drop it in the donation box to help provide breakfast to hungry kids, as Feeding Tampa Bay and Nature's Food Patch team up in Cereal for Summer benefit, through May 5.

Opening night: Dylan McDermott

This four-day showcase of independent films includes dramatic and comedy shorts, documentaries and international films. Actor Dylan McDermott will be on hand to introduce the new web series he directed, Sugar, shot on locations around Sarasota (4:30 p.m.), there's a red carpet and pre-party (6:30) followed by McDermott joining director Michael Mailer to screen Blind, a romantic drama starring Alec Baldwin, Demi Moore and McDermott.
