1USF Lecture Series: Hear a free talk by Amara La Negra, the Miami native best known as the breakout star of this season's Love and Hip Hop: Miami. La Negra is expected to focus on the challenges of navigating the entertainment industry — including sexism, classism and racism —as an Afro-Latina recording artist and actor. 8 p.m. Tuesday. 2Cannonball Cabaret: The vaudeville variety show features group dance numbers, sultry singing, comedy skits and more in the campy and sensual stylings of classic cabaret. 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. 3Tampa Bay Boat Show: This three-day sales event features the area's top boat dealers/manufacturers, the latest in boating and fishing supplies, and accessories. Plus, the Florida Fishing School Seminar Series will teach topics such as techniques to catch redfish and snook or the science of what makes fish strike lures and live bait. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday-Sunday at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4802 U.S. 301 N, Tampa. 4Get Fit St. Pete: You can find a series of free fitness classes in September and October as part of the Healthy St. Pete initiative. At 9 a.m. Saturday, there is a free fitness boot camp at Lassing Park, 2042 Beach Drive SE, with Rob Synder from ZipFit.
