5 things to do under $5: Dive-In Movies, [email protected] birthday party, 71-cent burgers at Hard Rock

1Happy Birthday [email protected]: The community artists’ collective is celebrating its 14th birthday Saturday, with a free party at the perfectly timed 6:20 p.m. The little studio in downtown St. Petersburg puts on an array of art shows, concerts and plays, so the party will include a show of local artwork and live music by the Lounge Cats, along with free birthday cake. [email protected], 620 First Ave. S, St. Petersburg. Free, but donations are appreciated. (727) 895-6620.

2 Movies in the pool: It’s getting too hot to sit outside for too long. Luckily, choices this week include animated undersea adventure Deep, a Dive-In Movie at St. Pete Beach Aquatic Center at 8 p.m. Friday ($5), and Moana at Flick and Float at Shore Acres Recreation Center Pool in St. Petersburg from 7-10 p.m. Friday ($3, $2 ages 3-12, 2 and younger free).

3 Breaking Barriers in Beer: Subtitled "Women in the Beer Business," women in the local craft beer industry will pass on their lessons learned in a talk moderated by the Doyene, a professional development group for women in business. There will be a Q&A and networking session after talks by a brewery owner, manager and bottle shop owner. 6 p.m. Wednesday. Mastry’s Brewing Co., 7701 Blind Pass Road, St. Pete Beach. Free.

4Summer Meals With Chef Warren: See a presentation by award-winning cookbook author (Cooking for Two) and celebrity chef Warren Caterson. 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Hudson Regional Library, 8012 Library Road. Free.

571-cent Burgers at Hard Rock: To celebrate the memorabilia-stuffed restaurant that first opened on June 14, 1971, Hard Rock Cafe is celebrating its birthday Thursday with 71-cent burgers, topped with smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, fried onion ring, lettuce and tomato on a brioche bun. Valid 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Stay for the ’70s-themed party featuring Disco Inferno, with performances at 7 and 8:30 p.m. Free admission. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa, 5223 Orient Road.
