5 things to do under $5 March 1-7: Cuban artist, Tampa Bay Boat Show, free admission at Glazer Children’s Museum

1 Danay Suarez: The last weekend of "Climate Change," the exhibit at the USF Contemporary Art Museum that includes Cuban and American artists reflecting on the change in the relationship between the two countries, brings Danay Suarez, above, a key figure of Cuba’s underground hip-hop scene, to Tampa. She has collaborated with Stephen Marley and Ben Folds. The showcase from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday features a performance by Suarez with Prodigy youth, and she will discuss her life in Cuba. Free. 2 Tampa Bay Boat Show: With spring approaching, you may want to see what the area’s top boat dealers/manufacturers have to offer and learn about the latest in boating and fishing supplies and accessories at this three-day sales event. Free. Florida State Fairgrounds, 4802 U.S. 301 N, Tampa. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. (727) 893-8523.

3 Free Tuesday at Glazer Museum: The hands-on museum and Children’s Board of Hillsborough County join for this event from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Free. Glazer Children’s Museum, 110 W Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa. (813) 443-3861.

4 World War II Commemorative Weekend: The day will include uniformed re-enactors, military vehicles, wartime encampment, weapons demonstrations, period vendors, food and music. A re-enactment battle will be at 2 p.m. both days. $3; WWII veterans and ages 6 and younger free. 5 SkyWatch: On Saturday, astronomers say Venus and Mercury perform a minor conjunction as Mercury retrogrades. View this with the powerful telescopes at Tampa’s Museum of Science and Industry, weather permitting. Free. Located in the parking lot by the MOSI entrance, 4801 E Fowler Ave. 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
