Things to Do in Pasco and Hernando counties starting July 13

Music

Friday Night Live: Brooksville Main Street hosts this monthly event that includes live bands performing and food trucks. It will be from 5 to 10 p.m. July 13 at Hernando Park, 205 E. Fort Dade Ave., Brooksville. Orlando-based band Stereo FM will perform. Admission is free.

Jared Blake: The country singer, who was a contestant on Season 1 of The Voice, will perform in concert from 9:30 to 11 p.m. July 14 at Creative Soul’s Cafe, 38426 Fifth Ave., Zephyrhills. While on the TV show, Blake reached the Top 4 on Blake Shelton’s team. Since then, the musician is known for his hit single, Stomp, and he recently released Don’t Let Her Be Gone. The concert is part of the Summer Concert Series to bring celebrity musicians and bands to Zephyrhills. Tickets are $12 advance, $15 at the door. Call (813) 395-8818. Sounds of Summer: Hilton Garden Inn will present "Sounds of Summer" from 5 to 8 p.m. July 14 at 2155 Northpointe Village, Lutz. There will be local talent performances, vendors, free car washes, family games and other activities. Admission is free. All proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Call (813) 491-4900.

Family

Bucky and Gigi Show: These two former Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus clowns will entertain from 2 to 4 p.m. July 14 at Hudson Regional Library, 8012 Library Road, Hudson. The show uses physical comedy, circus skills, mime, magic, juggling and audience participation. For all ages. Free. Call (727) 861-3040.

Sing It! Open Mic/Karaoke: Tweens in grades 4-7 are invited to show off their musical talent from 4:30 to 6 p.m. July 17 at Regency Park Library, 9701 Little Road, New Port Richey. Those who wish to share their talent (singing, guitar, etc.) will be given first priority. A karaoke session will follow their performances. Free. Call (727) 861-3049.

Hobbies

Full Throttle Bike Night: The show will be from 6 to 10 p.m. July 13 at American Legion Post 186, 12091 Cortez Blvd., Spring Hill. Come for the show, stay for dinner and music. A multitude of 5-Class bikes will be on display. The event includes a fish fry, live music provided by Rebel Soul, a 50/50 and raffles. The post is a smoke-free facility. The cost to participate in the bike show is $10. Admission is free. Call (352) 597-9995.

Benefit

Charity Casino Night: The benefit for Gulfside Hospice and Pasco Palliative Care will be from 6 to 10 p.m. July 14 at Gulfside’s West Clinical Office, 6117 Trouble Creek Road, New Port Richey. Includes casino-style gaming, hors d’oeuvres, prizes, complimentary drink from the cash bar, and a photo booth souvenir. Fun money tokens provided. Tickets are $35 through July 13 and $40 at the door. For an optional $15 donation, guests may opt to receive a mystery bottle of wine or restaurant gift card worth at least that price in the wine pull and restaurant roulette. Christmas in July Art Walk: Artists will be along the sidewalks and in shops in downtown Dade City from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 14. There will be children’s art activities and in-store sales and promotions (look for the pink flamingo at participating shops). Hosted by the Dade City Merchants Association. "Celebrating the Gallery’s 20th Birthday" exhibit: The exhibit is on display through Aug. 11 at the Uptown Art Gallery at Brooksville City Hall, 201 Howell Ave., Brooksville. Featuring a potpourri of artwork that ranges from fun to serious pieces, landscapes to impressionism, in a variety of mediums. Call (352) 540-3810.

PHSC Summer Art Show: The annual summer exhibit continues through Aug. 10 at Pasco-Hernando State College Rao Musunuru, M.D., Art Gallery, 10230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey. Reflections: This is a collection of local artists’ works and craft items on display now through Sept. 27 at the West Pasco Art Guild, 6296 Jefferson St., New Port Richey.
