Avett Brothers coming to USF Sun Dome in March

North Carolina folk-rockers the Avett Brothers are coming to the USF Sun Dome on March 29, the venue announced Friday. Just last month, the band released its eighth full-length album, Magpie and the Dandelion – the band's third collaboration with super-producer Rick Rubin. The album debuted at No. 5 on Billboard 200, giving the banjo-plucking troupe their second straight Top 5 debut. Tickets are $35-$47.50 and they go on sale Nov. 22 at ticketmaster.com or at the Sun Dome box office. In 2009, the group made mainstream waves with their critically acclaimed major label debut I and Love and You. They were last in the bay area in October 2012 for the Clearwater Jazz Holiday. — Sharon Kennedy Wynne, Times Staff Writer
