TAMPA — Want live music with your Friday lunch?

Every Friday through the summer a new event, the "Eat at Joe's Lunch and Concert Series," will be held at Joe Chillura Courthouse Square. The event kicked off Friday and featured King High School graduate Johnny Lowery performing on steel drums.

The event is meant to encourage people to eat at nearby restaurants. Some food trucks are also expected to be nearby. You can also bring your own food.

The concerts continue through the summer, rain or shine, at the corner of Pierce and Madison streets.

The series is a partnership of the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department; the Arts Council of Hillsborough County; the city of Tampa; and the Tampa Downtown Partnership.
