Galleries to host kid-friendly open house Saturday

For Arts Splash on Saturday, six downtown St. Petersburg galleries will have an open house and live demonstrations from noon to 5 p.m. with activities geared toward children. A free chocolate fountain will be flowing at Craftsman House Gallery Cafe and Pottery Studio, 2955 Central Ave. There will be art demos at Nuance Galleries, 2924 Central Ave.; kids activities at Morean Arts Center, 719 Central Ave.; painting Valentine hearts at the Clay Center, 400 23rd St. S; teapot building at Charlie Parker Pottery, 724 Sixth Ave. S; and more than 20 artists on display at St. Pete ArtWorks, 635 Central Ave. — Sharon Kennedy Wynne
