Bark Island: Dogs and their owners are welcome to come to the beach. Must have the dog's current vaccination records/tags to enter. Bring a leash. Owners are asked to pick up after their pets. Sponsored by Hernando County Parks and Recreation. 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. The park fee is $7 for the first dog, $3 for each additional dog. Disability Awareness Walk and Roll 5K & Family Fun Run: Event coordinated by the Hernando County Education Foundation along with Exceptional Student Education Advisory Committee members. Each exhibitor will have an activity for children; many will have exhibitions in the courtyard. The 5K race begins at 8:30 a.m., and the 1-mile family fun run begins at 9:15 a.m. Proceeds benefit students with disabilities in Hernando County schools. 8 a.m. to noon. Christ Lutheran Church spaghetti dinner fundraiser: Fundraiser to benefit local ministry and missions. Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University classes: The classes are designed for those struggling financially. Participants will learn how to get out of debt and prepare for the future.
