Free Zika training: Presented by the Hernando Computer Club, the training is for those who wish to assist in the effort to find a cure for the Zika virus. Club members are volunteers for World Community Grid and are donating their devices' spare computing power to help scientists find a cure. Spring Lake 5K and 2-Mile Fun Run: The annual 5K run and 2-mile fun run/walk through rolling hills and an equestrian stable include prizes for the top three finishers in each age group and a post-race food festival. Proceeds will benefit the Arc Nature Coast. 8 to 11 a.m. Registration begins at 7 a.m. Advance registration is $25 ($30 day of race) for the 5K and $20/$25 for the walk. About Boating Safely: The class is provided by Hudson Flotilla 11-7 Coast Guard Auxiliary. Completion earns the Florida Boating Safety Education Card.
