Lovato, Pitbull part of Mardi Gras at Universal

Universal Orlando has revealed its music lineup for Mardi Gras 2013 and it's a bead-worthy collection of pop stars that include American Idol champion Phillip Phillips (March 23), pop princess Demi Lovato (March 2 ) and Miami rapper Pitbull (April 13) for the series of parades and concerts set to kick off Feb. 9. Other artists signed up for the Cajun party are chart-topping country duo Montgomery Gentry (March 9), teen heartthrob Austin Mahone (March 22) and rockers Matchbox Twenty (March 16), whose latest studio album, North, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Mardi Gras activities, including the concerts, are included in regular Universal Studios admission — $89, $83 for ages 3-9. On concert nights, Florida residents can purchase a ticket that allows entry after 5 p.m. for $59.99 (online, in advance) or $74.99 (at the front gate). See for complete lineup.
