The Nao Victoria, a replica of the Spanish sailing ship Victoria that was the first to successfully circumnavigate the world between 1519 and 1522, will be docked at the Tampa Convention Center and open for visitors Friday through March 30. The Nao Victoria was built in 1992 for Sevilla's World Expo, and after a few years of working as a stationed cultural attraction, the floating museum was made seaworthy in order to emulate Magellan and Juan Sebastian Elcano's adventure, sailing around the world from 2004 to 2006. After visiting 52 countries and covering more than 50,000 miles, the tall ship makes a stop in Tampa during its five-month tour of Florida. Open daily 10 a.m.-6 p.m. $8, $5.50 children (advance); $10, $7 children at the dock at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S Franklin St. Visit tallshipevent.com.
