Halloween festival expects big crowd for treats and fun
Nearly 10,000 people are expected for the annual Trick or Treat Street 2013, which will be held from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at Riverview High School, 11311 Boyette Road.
Local businesses, churches and organizations will distribute candy and offer free activities for children at the event, which marks its 25th year.
There will be costume contests for children and for dogs, along with a hayride and magician.
Parking is $5 per carload. Event admission is free. Wristbands for sale will include unlimited play on bounce houses and Riverview High clubs will have games and activities for a small fee.
The event is presented by the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department.
