The Rock 'n' Roll St. Pete Half Marathon has added a new feature for less ambitious runners who like the fanfare of the race — with bands every mile, cheerleaders and a free Sean Kingston concert afterward — but don't want to hoof it 13.1 miles for all that. Organizers have announced the addition of a new 3.1-mile "mini marathon" for the Feb. 10 run. "The shorter distance is a great way for runners to get a taste of the half marathon experience," said event director Lyndsi Weichert. Mini marathon runners will receive the same perks as the half marathon participants including an official race tee, a finisher medal, one free beer and access to the finish line concert. Registration is $45 at runrocknroll.competitor.com/st-petersburg.
