Rockettes coming to Tampa for Christmas

Fans of the high-kicking Rockettes will get a special Christmas present this year. The Straz Center for the Performing Arts announced that an all-new production of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular show will play there Dec. 12-29. The producers promise "new technological enhancements and new show-stopping Rockettes performances" in a multi-faceted production with a 50-foot LED screen that will enhance the show's imagery. One new number, "New York at Christmas," will have the Rockettes board a life size double-decker tour bus, taking audiences on a guided tour through the streets of New York City. No word yet on ticket prices. For information, call (813) 229-7827 or see strazcenter.org.
