Tampa Bay events postponed due to storm, attractions closed

The threat of tropical weather will likely affect scheduled events across Tampa Bay this week.

The list of postponements and cancellations below will be updated as more information becomes available.

Summer of Rum Festival, Channelside Plaze, Tampa, canceled Saturday because of winds during Friday's setup. (details)

Facilities/attractions closed

The Florida Aquarium in Tampa will be closed Thursday, with plans to reopen on Friday.

Glazer Children's Museum in Tampa will be closed Thursday.

Pinellas County parks closed until further notice include: Fort De Soto Park, Sand Key Park, Fred Howard Park, Philippe Park, Ridgecrest Park

St. Petersburg's North Shore Aquatic Center was closed around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

South Florida Museum in Bradenton will be closed Thursday, with plans to reopen on Friday.
