Things to do in Tampa Bay for Aug. 23

Tampa Bay Comic Con: This huge three-day convention scored big with stars from The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. Today you can meet Chad Coleman, shown above, who plays Tyreese in The Walking Dead, and Hector David Jr., who plays the Green Samurai Ranger in Power Rangers Samurai. It starts at noon at the Tampa Convention Center. $20 single day, $45 three days, 12 and younger free. (407) 619-2128;

Backstreet Boys: Backstreet's back, all right, for a night of '90s nostalgia including show opener Jesse McCartney. Concert starts at 7 p.m. at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa. $35-$115. (813) 740-2446.

Chick Corea and Bela Fleck: The jazz greats bring their piano and banjo duet performance to Clearwater. Show begins at 8 p.m. at Ruth Eckerd Hall. $45-$62. (727) 791-7400.

Christian Finnegan: The comedian, who has appeared on Chappelle's Show and Countdown with Keith Olbermann, recently recorded his new special Double Shift at the Asbestos Factory. See him at 8 and 10:30 p.m. at the Improv Comedy Theater, 1600 E Eighth Ave., Tampa. $15-$17. (813) 864-4000.


America's Next Top Model, 9 p.m., CW Now the models must walk the runway on a giant turntable. As if they weren't dizzy enough.
