Gilbert Gottfried: Since this comedian's career began at age 15, his signature voice has earned him roles on Saturday Night Live, The Cosby Show and in movies including Beverly Hills Cops II and Aladdin. Tampa's Downtown on Ice: Even in Florida, you can get a taste of winter by skating on an outdoor rink in the park. Each 90-minute session includes skate rental starting at noon at Curtis Hixon Park, 600 N Ashley Drive, Tampa. $10. (813) 966-5505.

Holiday Lights in the Gardens: Stroll through the gardens decorated with laser lights, flora and fauna displays, a seven-foot high gingerbread house with more than 600 lights, a 30-foot white swan and a tropical parrot. It starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Florida Botanical Gardens, 12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo. $2, 12 and younger free. (727) 582-2100.
