Things to do in Tampa Bay for Feb. 8

Clearwater Beach Uncorked: Wine experts, brewmasters and chefs join forces so guests can indulge in their culinary creations. It starts at 1 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa, 301 S Gulfview Blvd., Clearwater. $85 per day; VIP $125. Admission includes access to the Uncorked Spirits Beach Bar and a dessert tent filled with sweets and sparkling wines. (954) 960-6083.

Kenny Loggins: In the '80s, he gained popularity as the movie soundtrack king, with I'm Alright (Caddyshack) and Footloose (Footloose), but he has been creating soft rock since the '70s. Fellow '70s band Pablo Cruise will open. Concert starts at 8 p.m. at Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 N McMullen-Booth Road, Clearwater. $55-$95. (727) 791-7400.

Sant' Yago Illuminated Knight Parade: The night-time parade features more than 100 illuminated floats, marching bands, krewes and their royalty. It begins at 7 p.m. at Seventh Avenue and Nebraska Avenue, Ybor City. Free. (813) 241-6554.

Warhol Yourself: Self-Portrait Workshop: Bring the entire family, even the pets, to make Warhol-inspired pop-art portraits. In the style of Warhol's Marilyn Monroe, your photos will be taken, printed out in black and white on cardstock, and then you can color or paint them. It's at 3 p.m. at Morean Arts Center, 719 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. $15 per portrait. (727) 822-7872, ext. 211.

Busch Gardens Serengeti Night Safari: Travel through the park's Edge of Africa in the dark while viewing the nighttime behaviors of lions, hippos, giraffes, rhinos and more, then cozy up around a bonfire. Before and after the safari, drinks, appetizers and desserts are provided in the Safari Club. Guests must be 21 and up to participate. It starts at 6:30 p.m. at Busch Gardens, 3605 Bougainvillea Ave., Tampa. $69 per person. Park admission not required. (813) 987-5600

    For all the community's support of the arts in the bay area, it's nice to be rewarded with free admission once in a while. And that's exactly what many area museums are offering on Saturday.

    NEW PORT RICHEY — It's harvest time for the sweet potato.

    MICHELE MILLER |  TIMESMore than 300 pounds of sweet potatoes have been harvested from local organic gardens for the inaugural Sweet Potato Round-Up and Fall Farming Festival set for this weekend in New Port  Richey. Those who go will be able to purchase sweet potatoes and get some hints on what to grow during the hot summer months, said Sylvia Spencer, shown here, manager if the Habitat garden as well as the Grand Garden Community Plot on Grand Boulevard.

  4. Musical impressionist headlines benefit comedy show in Riverview

    RIVERVIEW — The Regent, 6437 Watson Road in Riverview, will host the fifth annual Clean Comedy Night from 6-9:30 p.m. on Friday (Sept. 29).

    Kier is set to perform at the Clean Comedy Night at The Regent in Riverview. Luis Rivera is the opening act and Brian Kleinschmidt hosts the event.
