Things to do in Tampa Bay for July 9

Paper Route: The Tennessee-based indie rock band just released a new album titled The Peace of Wild Things. Half Noise, an outfit put together by Zac Farro of Paramore, is also performing. Concert starts at 8 p.m. at Crowbar, 1812 N 17th St., Tampa. $7 in advance; $10 at the door. (813) 241-8600.

Jonny Reno's Yappy Hour: Bring your pooch for a special dog-friendly happy hour featuring drink specials and a special Canine Cafe menu including raw bones and peanut butter treat desserts. It starts at 6 p.m. at the Kitchen, 226 First Ave. N, St. Petersburg. Free. (727) 565-0540.

Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market: Enjoy live music while shopping for fresh produce, baked goods, teas and crafts. Stalls open at 9 a.m. along Beach Boulevard in Gulfport. Free (items individually priced). (727) 278-4285.

Miss Florida 2013 Competition: The preliminary rounds for this beauty pageant begin today featuring contestants from all over Florida competing for the honor of representing the state in the Miss America pageant. The pageant begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Mahaffey Theater, 400 First St. S, St. Petersburg. $40-$85. (727) 893-7832.

Hotel Transylvania: The animated comedy featuring the voices of Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg and Selena Gomez is playing at Muvico theaters for free today. Takes place at Baywalk 20 in St. Petersburg, Palm Harbor 10, Starlight 20 in Tampa and Centro Ybor 20 in Tampa. It starts at 10 a.m. Free. (727) 502-9573.

SEASON PREMIERE Storage Wars New York, 9 p.m., A&E Two episodes, alternately about finding fireworks and hearing aids. We don't think those things are mutually exclusive.

SERIES PREMIERE Property Envy, 10 p.m., Bravo A new talk show hosted by Stephen Collins in which people sit around and talk about rich people's houses. As if doing it in your family's own hovel isn't good enough.

Rays on the Runway: Players, such as Sam Fuld and Evan Longoria, trade uniforms for the latest fashions to sashay down the runway, along with coaches, wives/girlfriends and special "dream children" for the eighth annual event at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort in St. Petersburg. Also includes cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, all to benefit the Children's Dream Fund. $125, $75 age 17 and younger. (727) 894-1000.

Rays concerts: KC and the Sunshine Band performs Saturday after the Tampa Bay Rays take on the Houston Astros. On Sunday, the concert is Carly Rae Jepsen (Call Me Maybe) and the giveaway is a free DJ Kitty confetti globe for the kids.
