Things to do in Tampa Bay for June 5

Mayor's Food Truck Fiesta: Join Mayor Buckhorn as food trucks line up for this lunchtime event in downtown Tampa. Taj Mahal: The musician celebrates four decades of blues, roots and reggae. He is one of the most influential blues musicians of all time and has scored two Grammy awards from his albums. Concert starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Palladium Theater, 253 Fifth Ave. N, St. Petersburg. $42-$55. (727) 822-3590.

ZZ Ward: To the unseasoned ear, ZZ Ward's boisterous vocal on cuts like Put The Gun Down and Move Like U Stole It could easily be mistaken for Adele. She performs at 7:30 p.m. at the Ritz Ybor, 1503 E Seventh Ave., Tampa. $15. (813) 247-2555.

Tropicana Field Ballpark Tours: Take a 90-minute, behind-the-scenes tour of the home of the Tampa Bay Rays. See the Rays' dugout, Press Box, Touch Tank, 162 Landing, Hitters Hall of Fame and more. Still and video cameras welcome. Tour begins at 10 a.m. at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. $9, $8 ages 65 and older, $7 ages 3-14, 2 and younger free. Toll-free 1-888-326-7297.

TO WATCH

CMT Music Awards 2013, 8 p.m., CMT Jason Aldean and Kristen Bell host the fans' choice awards, which should always be the most important style of award show, but never is. Like we care what the rest of Nashville thinks about Taylor Swift.

SEASON PREMIERE Chef Robli & Co., 10 p.m., Bravo Catering to A-listers must be very difficult. You have to both make food that will impress them, then not be offended when they don't eat it because they're starving themselves.

  1. Bar review: The Landing at Jannus in St. Petersburg

    Bars & Spirits

I've spent many evenings in St. Pete's Jannus Live courtyard, enjoying one of the best open-air venues in the Tampa Bay area. It's where I saw my first concert in Florida: Toadies, on the Rubberneck tour sometime in the mid '90s.

The drinks at the Landing at Jannus in St. Petersburg are about as cheap as you’ll find at any other regular downtown bar, a nice surprise.
  2. Local craft beer of the week: Two Henrys Belleview-Biltmore Blueberry Vanilla Wheat

    Bars & Spirits

Two Henrys Brewing Company is a unique entity in the Tampa Bay brewing scene, due to both its status as the only brewery in Plant City, as well as its location on a 27-acre working farm, which also includes a winery.
