Things to do in Tampa Bay for March 19

'S Wonderful: Five mini-musicals pay tribute to the styles and places that influenced George and Ira Gershwin's songbook. Gasparilla International Film Festival Opening Night Reception: Come early to enjoy drinks and food from area restaurants at this private mix-and-mingle with the festival's stars and celebrities before the world premiere screening of Empire State, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Parsons Dance Company: Under the artistic direction of dancer/choreographer David Parsons, the New York-based contemporary dance company performs at 7:30 p.m. at the Palladium Theater, 253 Fifth Ave. N, St. Petersburg. $30-$45. (727) 822-3590.

Clybourne Park: Set in the same neighborhood as A Raisin in the Sun, this razor-sharp Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy shows the evolution of a neighborhood between 1959 and 2009. Adrenaline Mob: The metal supergroup featuring members of Dream Theater, Disturbed and Symphony X tours off their 2012 album Omertà. Concert starts at 7 p.m. at the Orpheum, 1915 E Seventh Ave., Ybor City. $16.50-$18. (813) 248-9500.

Gasparilla International Film Festival: Opening night Tuesday features the world premiere of Empire State, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson at Tampa Theatre. Director Dito Montiel will attend. The festival, which continues through Sunday, also celebrates the 10th anniversary of The Punisher, filmed in Tampa in 2003, with a screening Saturday at Centro Ybor.
