Things to do in Tampa Bay for May 2

Rock the Park: This month's concert celebrates the tbt* Ultimate Bands of 2013. Local acts including Applebutter Express, Heights NS and Wolf-Face will be performing. Music starts at 6:30 p.m. at Curtis Hixon Park, 600 N Ashley Drive, Tampa. Free.

Behind the Gates: When 17-year-old Bethany disappears while on a school trip to Israel, her parents feverishly search for her throughout Jerusalem in this Jobsite Theater production. Music and Movies in the Park: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom: Bring a picnic and enjoy music by Between the Bluffs before a free screening of the Oscar-winning classic. It starts at 7 p.m. in North Straub Park, Fifth Avenue NE and Bayshore Drive, St. Petersburg. Free. (727) 824-7802.

Janis Ian: The Grammy-winning '60s folk songwriter and science-fiction author known for her song At Seventeen plays at 8 p.m. at the Carrollwood Cultural Center, 4537 Lowell Road, Tampa. $29. (813) 269-1310.
