Things to do in Tampa Bay for May 24

Florida Orchestra Masterworks Concert: Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring: The centerpiece of this concert is Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, which will be performed by 99 musicians. Tito Munoz conducts. It's at 8 p.m. in Carol Morsani Hall at the Straz Center, 1010 N MacInnes Place, Tampa. $15-$45. (813) 229-7827.

Fourth Friday Food Truck Festival: It's the last festival of the season tonight with live entertainment and food trucks along Corey Avenue. Trucks open at 5 p.m. along Corey Avenue, 155 Corey Ave., St. Pete Beach. Menu prices vary. (727) 498-8778.

John and Jen: In this musical, Jen and her younger brother John's relationship is strained over the war in Vietnam. It runs through Sunday. Show starts at 8 p.m. at Freefall Theatre, 6099 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. $39-$46. (727) 498-5205.

Oldsmar Freedom Fest: This Memorial Day festival boasts two stages of live music, a beer garden, kids carnival and bike show. It starts at 5 p.m. at State Street East and Fairfield Street in Oldsmar. Free. (813) 855-4233.

SERIES PREMIERE Invasion, 7 p.m., Animal Planet Hunters go searching for invasive species, so of course the first episode is set in Florida. Suspects include the Burmese python, the Nile monitor lizard and those snails that ruin everything. They should add tarantulas to that mix.

    ST. PETERSBURG — The story begins with Yucatan shrimp.

    St. Petersburg Deputy Mayor Kanika Tomalin, pilot Mark Futch, Boca Grande, St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman, and author and businessman Randy Wayne White,  Sanibel, exit a Maule Super Rocket seaplane after taking a fight around Tampa Bay off the St. Petersburg waterfront, 6/28/17.  White and his business partners are in negotiations with the City of St. Petersburg to build a fourth Doc Ford's Rum Bar & Grille on the approach to the St. Petersburg Pier with a second event space on the pier according to White. The group met near Spa Beach after a ground breaking ceremony for the new pier. "We want to have our business open by the time the pier opens," said White.
