Times Turkey Trot: Before you go into a food coma on Thanksgiving, hit the road for a good run. Choose from several races, including the Wingding 5K or Turkey Trot 10K, all beginning near Clearwater High School. Ferg's Birthday Bash: The St. Petersburg institution is celebrating its 21st birthday. There's no cover for the party, which includes food and drink specials and live music from the Black Honkeys and Rhythm and Quake. Hanukkah Celebration: Chabad of Clearwater celebrates Hanukkah by lighting a menorah made of hundreds of donuts. The party also includes a latke eating competition, Jewish music, dancing and a performance by Fritzy Brothers One Man Circus. Get Roasted: This annual Thanksgiving eve party thrown by the party-loving 13 Ugly Men lets you get saucy before you get stuffed. Electric Tiki Beach: The holiday heats up at Shephard's with entertainment on three stages, music by 12 DJs, drink specials and a high-tech laser show. It's 18 and older only. Doors open at 8 p.m. at Shephard's Beach Resort, 619 S Gulfview Blvd., Clearwater. $10. (727) 441-6875.


Restaurant Stakeout, 9 p.m., Food An ex-boxer has used his winnings to open a restaurant that's floundering. The upside is that all the meat dishes are nice and tender.

Saturday Night Live, 9 p.m., NBC A special highlighting Thanksgiving skits over the years. Because the current cast would have some problems making the holiday funny.

St. Petersburg Tree Lighting: Straub Park lights up the waterfront for the holidays on Friday evening, with decorations, icicle lights and festive music by the St. Petersburg Community Band. Free.

Music of Pink Floyd: The Florida Orchestra joins forces with a full rock band to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Dark Side of the Moon. Christmas Town: Tampa's Busch Gardens transforms into a winter wonderland, with 80 miles of lights, real snow, Santa and train rides.
