Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson: The pop rock group behind This Love and Moves Like Jagger joins forces with Kelly Clarkson, the original American Idol winner-turned-Grammy winning behind tracks like Stronger and Since U Been Gone. J Cole: The hip-hop artist who recently signed to Jay Z's label Roc Nation is climbing the charts with hits like Crooked Smile. Concert starts at 8 p.m. in Carol Morsani Hall at the Straz Center, 1010 N MacInnes Place, Tampa. $39.50-$59.50. (813) 229-7827.

Tampa Bay Fashion Week Kick-Off: Tampa Bay Fashion Week starts with a day-long event of fashion workshops, discussions with stylists, and an appearance by author Jackie Walker. Then at 6:30 p.m., Dillard's will host a runway show. Events begin at 10 a.m. at International Plaza and Bay Street, 2223 N West Shore Blvd., Tampa. Free, $25 for seat at runway show. AVP Pro Volleyball: The Association of Volleyball Professionals brings the action and stars of its Beach Volleyball Tour to town for a three-day stop. At 5 p.m. there's a concert by the band Offshore Riot, followed by a fireworks show. Matches begin at 9:30 a.m. in Vinoy Park, 501 Fifth Ave. NE, St. Petersburg. $15; 12 and younger free with adult ticket.
