Things to do in Tampa Bay for the week of April 22

St. Anthony's Triathlon: The big day is Sunday, when you can cheer on top-caliber triathletes from around the world in a 1.5K swim, 40K bike and 10K run in St. Petersburg. Friday kicks off with a fitness expo in Straub Park, and Saturday features the Meek and Mighty Triathlon for athletes ages 7 and older. It's free to watch.

Earth Day: Go to a park, recycle your water bottle or just do something nice for Mother Earth today. Also, Evos will serve up free milkshakes today (evos.com for locations) in biodegradable cups, naturally.

Date Night

American Stage in the Park: This year it's the Tony-Award winning musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, a clever look at overachievers competing in a spelling championship. It opens Friday with a gala, but pay-what-you-can previews are Wednesday and Thursday. Performances are at Demens Landing along St. Petersburg's waterfront. See americanstage.org.

SPANK! The Fifty Shades Parody: If the prose of Fifty Shades of Grey wasn't comedic enough, this parody adds music, stripteases and jokes. Shows are Thursday through Saturday at the Straz Center in Tampa. $35.50 and up. strazcenter.org.

Sea Grapes Wine and Food Festival: Features more than 130 wines, food from area restaurants, live music and silent auctions among the exhibits at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa on Saturday. $95 advance, $105 day of. (813) 273-4000.

98 Rockfest: Stone Sour, Three Days Grace, Bullet For My Valentine and more join Seattle grunge institution Alice In Chains on Friday at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa. Tickets are as low as $24.50, but there's also a party and free pre-show concert at the Forum's west plaza. (813) 301-2500.

Kids and Family

Keel & Curley Winery's Blueberry Festival: It's two days of wine tastings, food and craft vendors, kids play area and $3-per-pound U-pick blueberries. Free admission, $5 parking Saturday and Sunday at the Plant City winery. (813) 752-9100. There's also the Pasco County Blueberry Festival in Shady Hills, Friday through Sunday. Free, $5 parking.

Dragon Boat Races: Paddlers from across the U.S. and Canada hit Garrison Channel in Tampa on Saturday to compete in the colorful dragon boats. It runs in conjunction with Asia Fest in nearby Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park, with food, dance and traditional music. Both events are free.
