Oktoberfest: We can still celebrate even though it doesn't feel like fall, right? The St. Pete Oktoberfest kicks things off Saturday in the Grand Central District with themed games and contests, food, live music, yodeling and, of course, beer. Free. Also Saturday is the weeklong Dunedin Brewery Oktobeerfest with 5K, 10K and 1-mile timed runs. The $25-$55 entry fee includes a T-shirt, free beer, German food and admission to a post-race concert.

National Chicken Lovers Day: Flock to your favorite Pollo Tropical today dressed like a chicken or cluck at a cashier to get a free quarter chicken meal with beans and rice. See pollotropical.com for locations.

Jordan Belfort: Yes, that is the real Wolf of Wall Street. It's not clear why you'd want to hear his "skills for business success" tonight at Ruth Eckerd Hall, but he managed to convince Hollywood to make a movie out of his, er, escapades. $99-$499. (727) 791-7400.

Date Night

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers: The Florida-born living legend and his band are back, touring in support of new album Hypnotic Eye. Catch them Sunday at Amalie Arena (formerly Tampa Bay Times Forum). $32.75-$128.25. (813) 301-2500.

Jay Mohr: You've seen him in Jerry Maguire, Ghost Whisperer and Gary Unmarried. He'll be delivering standup in Ferguson Hall at the Straz, appropriate because — fun fact — Ferguson is his middle name. $36.50. (813) 229-7827.

Jenny McCarthy: The former View co-host and Playboy playmate brings her Dirty Sexy Funny tour of all female comedians, talking everything from single motherhood to sex, to Clearwater's Capitol Theatre on Saturday. $62.75-$125. (727) 791-7400.

Kids and Family

Flavor Run 5K: This un-timed fitness event puts a twist on color runs by adding fruit flavored powder, live entertainment and fresh fruit at the finish line Saturday at the Florida State Fairgrounds. $40, $35 team/family, 6 and younger free. (813) 360-0766.

Costume Swap: Get your kids a free new Halloween costume by taking a used one to Playtime in Apollo Beach or Revolution Ice Cream in Brandon through Friday. You'll get a ticket to pick out a new costume Saturday at All Person's Park, Brandon. (813) 624-2133.
