Fun at the market: The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce and Hernando County Parks and Recreation will host the annual Hernando Marketplace from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Anderson Snow Park, 1360 Anderson Snow Road, Spring Hill. The event includes numerous business and food vendors, arts and crafts. There will also be a Kids Zone with 18 vendors with games, activities and giveaways, including face painting and balloon art. Smokey the Bear, Princess Belle, Froyo the Cat and the Chick-fil-A cow will be in attendance. An Easter egg hunt for children ages 3 to 12 will begin at 11 a.m. A blueberry pie baking contest will be at 1 p.m. Admission is free. For information, call (352) 796-0697.

Haunted mansion: Ghost tours of the Hernando Heritage Museum are offered 8 to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays at 601 Museum Court, Brooksville. Legend has it that the Heritage Museum, a four-story, 12-room house, built more than 151 years ago by Brooksville pioneer John May, is inhabited by the spirits of long-deceased family members, including May's 3-year-old daughter, Jessie. Citrus fair: The Citrus County Fair continues through Sunday at the Citrus County Fairgrounds, 3600 S Florida Ave., Inverness. Gates are open from 1 to 10 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday. The Foggy Creek Band performs Saturday. Admission for today and Saturday is $5; $3 for ages 5 to 10. Midway armbands are $20. Sunday there will be no gate admission and no single tickets sold; armbands will be $22. Visit or call (352) 726-2993.

Cinematic music: The Hernando Symphony Orchestra will present its final concerts of the 2012-13 season, "The Cinema," at 7:30 p.m. April 5 and 6 and at 2 p.m. April 7 at Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. The concerts will feature a variety of music from films and shows such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Sorcerer's Apprentice, Chicago, Les Miserables, Star Wars, Mission Impossible and Lord of the Rings. Fair-time fun: The Hernando County Fair and Youth Livestock Show and Sale will be April 5 to 13 at the Hernando County Fairgrounds, 6436 Broad St., Brooksville. This year's fair includes midway rides, agricultural farm exhibits, a kids zone and entertainment. Gates and the midway open at 5 p.m. on weekdays and 1 p.m. on Saturdays and Sunday. Tax fraud mayhem: The comedy Love, Sex and the IRS premieres at 8 p.m. April 11 at Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. The play is a farce about same-sex roommates getting caught trying to file their taxes as a married couple. Showtimes continue at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays through April 21.
