John Waters: The Tampa International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival kicks off Friday and runs through Oct. 11, and it gets a Hollywood boost with film provocateur John Waters and his one-man show Saturday at the Tampa Theatre ($33-$63). Visit tiglff.com for the festival schedule and tickets.

Concerts: Ruth Eckerd Hall has a week of date-worthy shows this week, including Grammy-nominated indie rocker David Gray tonight ($43.25-$68.25) followed by Chicago at the Clearwater concert hall on Wednesday ($62.75-$92.75) and guitar legend Peter Frampton on Friday ($39.50-$89.50). Comedy: Kevin James had great success in movies and TV, but he has never let go of standup, and he's performing at Ruth Eckerd Hall on Saturday ($46.50-$75). Terry Bernadino, best known for his recurring role in Reno 911!, will bring his show to the Straz Center in Tampa on Tuesday; $39.75.

Replay Amusement Museum: This new arcade with more than 100 vintage pinball and video game machines opens this weekend in Tarpon Springs with unlimited play included in admission: $13, $7 ages 6-12, 5 and younger free at 119 E Tarpon Ave.

Movies and Music in the Park: Every Thursday in October, St. Petersburg's Straub Park turns into a popular date night/family picnic scene, this week with Brazilian music by Rio Bossa at 6 p.m., followed by Robin Williams' great Dead Poets Society. Free.
