Tracy Morgan coming to the Hard Rock Cafe in Tampa

Two years ago, Tracy Morgan was booked to perform at the Straz Center in Tampa, only to cancel a week before the show. A week after that came his infamous gay-bashing rant in Nashville. This all goes to prove that you never know what you're going to get with a Tracy Morgan show — maybe a little of his Emmy-nominated comedy, maybe some national controversy, maybe not even a show at all. It's just who Tracy Morgan is. So consider this your warning: The 30 Rock actor has just announced a gig on April 21 at the Hard Rock Cafe at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa. (Tracy Morgan the day after 4/20? Wow.) Ticket prices haven't been announced yet, but we'll keep you posted. It's not the only big event taking place at the Hard Rock in April. The cast of Pawn Stars will be there from 2 to 5 p.m. April 6 to promote their new line of slot machines. And from 8 to 9 p.m. on April 26, Alicia "Kendall" Minshew and Walt "Jackson" Willey from All My Children will sign autographs and pose for photos at the casino. — Jay Cridlin, Times Staff Writer

  4. What the 10 terms Merriam-Webster just added to the dictionary say about our foodie culture

Joining "troll" (as in, a rude person on the Internet, not a bridge-dwelling creature), "alt-right" and "dog whistle," 10 food-related words were added to the Merriam-Webster dictionary this week. That's out of 250 new terms, a pretty good ratio that signals the ongoing shift toward a more food-obsessed culture, one …
