Top things to do in Tampa Bay for March 5

Mayor's Food Truck Fiesta: Food trucks line up for this monthly lunchtime event in downtown Tampa. New this month is Curbing Your Appetite, joined by more than half a dozen regulars and the Tampa Bay Food Truck Rally Mobile DJ Truck. It's at 11 a.m. at Lykes Gaslight Square Park, 410 Franklin St., Tampa.

Florida Strawberry Festival: Featured performances today are Lee Brice (7:30 p.m., $20-$25) and Crystal Gayle (3:30 p.m., $15-$20). The festival opens at 10 a.m. at 303 N Lemon St., Plant City. Admission is $10 adults, $5 children ages 6 to 12, and free for children under 6. (813) 752-9194.

Tropicana Field Ballpark Tours: Take a 90-minute behind-the-scenes tour of the home of the Tampa Bay Rays. Tours are at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. $9, $8 ages 65 and older, $7 ages 3-14, 2 and younger free. (727) 825-3371.

Shiny Toy Guns: This L.A. electronic rock band will perform their Grammy-nominated song We Are Pilots and more at 7 p.m. at State Theatre, 687 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. $18-$20. (727) 895-3045.

Sea Lion Splash: Check out a colony of coastal sea lions, daily presentations and an outdoor activity area. Remains on display through May 31. It's $2, in addition to park admission.
