Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg: Bring on the noise! It's the first day of this annual race featuring Indy cars, Mazdas, Acuras and other fast cars whipping through the streets of downtown St. Petersburg. Scotty McCreery: American Idol's season 10 winner will take the stage to perform his country hits including, I Love You This Big and The Trouble With Girls. Show is at 7:30 p.m. at Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 N McMullen-Booth Road, Clearwater. $39.50-$62.50.

Gasp!: This new fringe festival combines theater, dance, poetry and improv with artists performing in and around the museum. It's at 6 p.m. at Tampa Museum of Art, 120 Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa. $15.

Corey Holcomb: The actor/comedian has been seen on NBC's Last Comic Standing, Fox's Like Mike and UPN's Half and Half. Shows at 8 and 10:30 p.m. at Improv Comedy Theater, 1600 E Eighth Ave., Tampa. $20. (813) 864-4000.
