"Star Power," the annual Tampa Bay celebrity fashion show and luncheon to benefit the Pinellas Auxiliary of the Children's Home, begins at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Palm Court Ballroom of the Renaissance Vinoy Resort, 501 Fifth Ave. NE, St. Petersburg. $75. St. Petersburg Opera benefit is Friday

The St. Petersburg Opera Company presents "Bella Voce," its annual fundraising dinner, on Friday in the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront, 333 First St. S. The evening is a fundraiser for the opera and its new building. Black-tie optional. 6 p.m. VIP $200, 7 p.m. general admission $125. $50 9 p.m. admission includes dessert and performance. Family Resources benefit is Saturday

Open invitation to Pinellas charities

The Woman's Service League is accepting applications from Pinellas County organizations to benefit from its annual fundraiser in 2014. Charities must be listed under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code. For applications and additional information, call (727) 343-3050.

Menorah Manor ongoing fundraiser
