It’s Valentine’s Day! You knew that, of course. But just in case you didn’t already make plans (ahem), here are some events to help you celebrate your love.

Today is Valentine's Day. Really hope that isn't a surprise to you. But who says you have to celebrate love on just one day? Some of these events are today, but many go through the weekend.

WILD AT HEART

This is a progressive dinner with stories about the pairing, partnering and mating habits of the zoo's residents. There may even be some live hanky panky going on. TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART

This MOSI date night sold out so keep this in mind next year: a romantic dinner underneath a changing night sky. 4801 E Fowler Ave., Tampa. 5:30-7:30 p.m. today.

VALENTINE'S EVENING AT THE PRESERVE

Join WMNF for gourmet chocolate delicacies and hear tales of love presented by local poets and couples who exchanged vows at the preserve. Ages 16 and older only. $10. Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, 1101 Country Club Way S, St. Petersburg. (727) 893-7326. 7-8:30 p.m. today.

BIG HEARTS PARTY

VALENTINE'S DAY AT SEA

VALENTINE'S MOVIE NIGHT

Munch on popcorn while watching a screening of the PG-13 rated film Courageous, the story of four men struggling with their faith and their roles as husbands and fathers. VALENTINE'S DINNER AND DANCE

SINGLES AWARENESS DAY

White and his business partners are in negotiations with the City of St. Petersburg to build a fourth Doc Ford's Rum Bar & Grille on the approach to the St. Petersburg Pier with a second event space on the pier according to White. The group met near Spa Beach after a ground breaking ceremony for the new pier. "We want to have our business open by the time the pier opens," said White.
