Vintage wear showcased in fashion show

The Tarpon Springs Historical Society will hold a vintage clothing fashion show from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 16 at the Tarpon Springs Yacht Club. The show will feature fashions from Mad Hatters of Tarpon Springs. A buffet lunch will be included. A $25 donation is requested, with proceeds benefiting the Historical Society. Learn to play music of Kalymnos

Ever wanted to play a violin the way the Greeks do? On March 7-10, Greek-style violin workshops will be held at the Safford House, 23 Parkin Court, in Tarpon Springs. Michalis Kappas is coming to Tarpon from Greece to conduct the workshops in the traditional violin music of the island of Kalymnos. An archaeologist by profession, Kappas has performed at festivals around the world. The workshops will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 7 and 8, and from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on March 9 and 10. Tennis tournament set for March 6-10

The East Lake Woodlands Country Club's Tennis Center will host the Les Grandes Dames Spring Cup March 6-10, featuring some of the best female tennis players in the country. The U.S. Tennis Association-sanctioned tournament for women in their 30s through 80s is free and open to the public to watch. Call the tennis center at (727) 785-2212 for exact hours. The tennis center is at 1055 East Lake Woodlands Parkway, off Tampa and East Lake roads.


Arts and crafts fair needs vendors

Antiques & Uniques is registering vendors who are interested in selling their wares during a Spring Arts & Crafts Fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 16. The fair will be held in the store's shady back yard at 530 Alt. U.S. 19 in Palm Harbor. Outdoor space, available on a first-come, first-served basis, costs $25.
