Dunedin Street Festival and Dance Party

Dress as your favorite Latin character and get out to downtown Dunedin's annual street festival with a costume contest, salsa dancing and lessons, a giant puppet parade of 20-foot-tall puppets and a dance party with live music. Cinco de Mayo Fiesta and Health Fair

A kid-friendly community parade in Dade City starts at 4 p.m. Thursday, followed by a fiesta in the park with a health fair, food, music, vendors, games and prizes. No alcohol permitted. Free. Resurrection Park, 37124 Lock St., Dade City. (352) 567-1432. 4 p.m. Thursday.

Cincopalooza

Red Mesa in downtown St. Petersburg stretches their Cinco De Mayo celebration into the weekend. Cincopalooza is four days of drink specials, tequila shots, live music, raffles and giveaways. They even close the road down for an outdoor street dance Thursday. No cover (food/drink additional). Red Mesa Cantina, 128 Third St. S, St. Petersburg. Cinco de Mac'o

MacDinton's in SoHo and also downtown St. Petersburg celebrate happy hour and Cinco de Mayo with a $15 all you can drink Corona bar, music, jalapeno eating contest and specially priced tequila shots and margaritas. $15. Cinco de Mayo Yard of Ale

Cinco de Catrinas

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo and the restaurant's fourth anniversary with a live DJ, $4 shots, $4 Coronas, $6 margaritas and sangrias and a special menu. No cover. Catrinas South Tampa, 2402 S MacDill Ave., Tampa. (813) 251-4604. 3 p.m. Thursday.

Cinco de Derby

A Cinco de Mayo-themed night of casino gaming includes $1,000 play money, virtual horse racing, ladies hat contest, a live auction, margarita and bourbon bar and food samples from 10 area restaurants. Cinco de Mayo Gaming

Cinco de Mayo Patron Paring Dinner

The party begins with a Patron-themed cocktail reception with music by Roberto DeBourg, followed by a four-course meal featuring Patron tequilas.
