Writer of hit 'Same Love' to headline St. Pete Pride concert

When you're looking for a headliner for St. Pete Pride, who better to pick than the woman who co-wrote and sang Same Love? Mary Lambert, the Seattle singer-songwriter whose work on the Macklemore and Ryan Lewis gay-rights anthem earned her multiple Grammy nominations will headline "27/82 The Concert" kicking off this year's St. Pete Pride, one of the largest LGBT celebrations in the country. Lambert will perform at 7 p.m. June 27 at the State Theatre, with singer-songwriter Hunter Valentine (The Real L Word) opening the show. Tickets are $25 at StPetePride.com and ShowClix.com. — Jay Cridlin, Times staff writer
