Saturdays in September will be a deal for kids at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, where Hispanic Heritage Month means free admission for up to four kids for every adult admission on Saturdays.

Once there, they will find a family-friendly Saturday celebration called Que PasZoo that will showcase Latin culture including a variety of Latin entertainers, local artisans, games of dominoes and character appearances by Nick Jr. favorites Dora the Explorer (Sept. 5), Pablo the penguin from the Backyardigans (Sept. 12), Diego (Sept. 19) and Team Umizoomi (Sept. 26).

Latin-inspired food will be available for purchase from on-site vendors.

Each full-priced paid adult admission of $27.95 gets up to four kids in the zoo for free. That normally would cost $20.95 each for kids 3-11.

The zoo is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1101 W Sligh Ave., Tampa. See lowryparkzoo.com.
