Bern's Winefest tickets go on sale Saturday, and you better not dawdle

Tickets for the always in demand Bern's Winefest go on sale Saturday, and those in the know will have their browsers queued up that morning.

Going into its 19th year, the wine and cocktail week of events sponsored by Tampa's Bern's Steak House kicks off at 10:15 a.m. April 10 with the Bern's Birthday Bubble Brunch at the Epicurean Hotel. The event features a mural unveiling to celebrate Bern's 60th anniversary and meal on the garden terrace prepared by chefs Chad Johnson and Jonathan Atanacio.

Workshops on wine blending, box whiskey and cocktails fill out a week of alcohol and food related events. The week ends with the grand tasting event at Haven featuring 200 wines. For complete details and tickets, visit bernswinefest.com.

April 10: Bern's Birthday Bubble Brunch, 10:15 a.m. at the Epicurean Hotel, 1207 S Howard Ave., Tampa. $150.

April 11: Bern's Winefest Winemaker Dinner, 6:30 p.m. at Bern's Steak House, 1208 S Howard Ave., Tampa. $450.

April 12: Dessert, Cognac and Decadence featuring a Hardy Cognac and Valrhona Chocolates sampling. 7 p.m. at the Epicurean Hotel. $150.

April 13: Beer and Cheese Seminar featuring Point Reyes Cheese and Cigar City Brewing Company beer sampling, 7 p.m. at the Epicurean Hotel. $75.

April 14: Haven Gala Winemaker Dinner, a six course dinner featuring the wines of Jean-Charles Boisset, 6:30 p.m. at Haven restaurant, 2208 W Morrison Ave., Tampa. $350. Compass Box Whisky Seminar featuring John Galsser, 7 p.m. at the Epicurean Hotel. $100.

April 15: Classic Cocktails with Charlotte Voisey at the Epicurean Hotel. $100. Haven Cocktail Party with country club theme, 8 p.m. at Haven. $175.

April 16: Ken Wright Wine Blending Seminar and Picnic, 11 a.m. at the Epicurean Hotel terrace. $160. Bern's Legacy Dinner seven course dinner, 6:30 p.m. at Bern's. $1200. B6: Bern's, Bourbon, BBQ, Bubbles, Beer, and Bull poolside, 8 p.m. at the Epicurean Hotel. $125.
