Big Tim's Bar-B-Que in St. Petersburg is undergoing renovations, owner Mario Walters said Wednesday.
The Times had reported that the restaurant closed. Walters, 27, son of late founder Timothy "Big Tim" Walters, said he is working on "some major changes for the restaurant," including a "facelift," but his intentions are to stay open.
Walters said hours at the restaurant, located at 530 34th St. S, are in the process of changing, but for now are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays-Thursdays, and until 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The restaurant no longer has a working phone number.
