Columbia owners give $1M to Jesuit High

The Gonzmart family, owners of the historic Columbia Restaurant, is giving $1 million to Jesuit High School, the largest alumni gift in the school's 114-year history.

The Gonzmarts have three graduates of the all-male Catholic high school: Casey Gonzmart (1965), Richard Gonzmart (1971) and Casey Gonzmart Jr. (2002). Charlie Gonzmart is a freshman.

The school will recognize the Gonzmarts' contribution during halftime ceremonies of the Jesuit vs. Trinity Catholic football game on Oct. 11. The game begins at 7:30 p.m. at Corral Memorial Stadium on campus.

The family also is the premier sponsor of the annual Fr. Richard G. Hartnett Memorial Golf Classic, which benefits Jesuit students on financial aid.

    OPENING FRIDAY:

    THE SNOWMAN

Unlike Frosty, The Snowman (R) isn't a jolly, happy soul. He's a serial killer who murders after snowfalls, keeping him busy in Norway where an alcoholic detective (Michael Fassbender) specializes in — wait for it — cold cases.
